We boarded QE at Station Pier 10/2/2019

The 2 days sailing to South Australian waters in the Southern Ocean became rough and as a result of the conditions, the captain (female) canceled the day at Kangaroo Island as it was dangerous for the tenders boats to take us ashore. Instead, we sailed straight for Adelaide where we spent 2 days.

Mooring at Outer Harbour Port of Adelaide

On the first Adelaide day, we had coach excursions to Glenelg beach and Victor Harbor where we had lunch and a couple of hours for exploring the sights.

On the second day in Adelaide, there was nothing organised so from the berth at the Outer Harbour we caught the train to Port Adelaide. It turned out to be a cold showery, windy day so we didn't spend a lot of time there

Decorators activities while cruising to Adelaide, Hobart & Melbourne

The Cruise & Snooze component of the trip included some of these activities

1,000 piece jigsaw of the Titanic completed in 2 days by lots of passengers

Daily crossword & Sudoku

Evening concerts in the theatre
Attending Bridge Beginners Classes

A few walks around the promenade - 3 laps
equal to 1 Mile - deck 3

Our cabin was midships on deck 4 so it was at least 150 meters to the front of Ship where the 24-hour bistro & theatre are or 150 meters again to the rear of the ship for evening dining (jacket mandatory)

Friends of Bill W meetings in the Admiral's lounge where I was the only friend except 1 day when another 2 attended

We then sailed for Hobart over the next 2 days and the seas were much calmer. Our day in Hobart included a coach trip to Richmond a very old tourist town and a BBQ lunch at the Puddleduck Winery.

The final 2 days of the trip were sailing back to Melbourne where we arrived early Sunday morning. Rhonda's husband Graeme picked us up and drove us back home.
